Here's my shot at doing a naval MiG-27. At first I was going to go with an overall blue, but thatd be pretty boring, so I thought up something low-vis that suggests operations over both land and water.  Incidentally.. it looks a bit too much like my Taiwanese F-32, so I may have to paint over the gray with some sort of light tan. Whoops!

Whoda thunk that testor's "flanker blue/gray" is practically the same color as their FS intermediate blue?

As for airframe changes, the single ventral fin has been replaced by two smaller ones to make room for the tailhook. I put an IRST housing on the nose, strips of styrene on the sides of what used to be the brakechute housing(its uh, an ECM pod now...). There will also be a refuelling-probe on the nose.

Any suggestions on weapons? I have a crapload of russian bombs and rocket-pods at my disposal, but minor scratchbuilding is possible...

new and improved paint scheme... although now it looks a lot less naval. I may paint over the light blue with a darker shade though.

I guess this just goes to show that photoshopping experimental paint schemes is well worth it. I'll figure something out

Nice, nice, nice !!!!  That is going to be awesome with a loadout...any chance of torpedoes? Cluster munitions (lovely way to take out the deck crew of a ship) ?

Cool.  Which kit is this?

Kit: 1/72 hasegawa. raised panel lines, probably not accurate, but very easy to build so far.

Paint: testors/model master: Flanker blue/gray( <_< which is the exact same thing as intermediate blue),  USSR fulcrum green/gray, earth brown, and  "dark aircraft gray"(same thing as light sea gray...)
