TSR.2 prints

The aviation artist Michael Short, who did the coverart for my two books on the early Yak fighters in WW-II, and I have been in discussion about him doing a limited series of fifty (50) Giclee prints of "What Ifs" of the TSR.2 and Avro Arrow in combat settings, and at a reasonable cost.

This posting is to get feedback on what specific subjects, if any, would there be for these prints. Some of Mr. Shorts works can be seen at any of the links below.

ooohh yes please... count me in for any new TSR.2 prints...id happily provide info too so as to enable an image of the type in its initial production scheme (or even near east scheme...mmm..low level over aden!)

Barry Spicer,a local artist in Adelaide has done a lot of work for our museum and just recently finished one of our P-38 Lightning (that is nearing the end of its restoration) in flight. He does absolutely flawless "photo-realistic" aircraft paintings.

I had thought of enquiring with him about commissioning a painting of two BAC Eagles in flight, perhaps in the two ARDU colour schemes.

It's nice to dream.

This would be a great idea. Here are my bids for the 1970s period:

Coningsby OCU on the ground, with support vehicles and TSR2s in the air.

Laarbruch TSR2s being armed up with Martels and other goodies

Akrotiri wing aircraft on dispersal in brown and sand

FEAF TSR2s over Singapore

HS 1154s on German autobahn service area, with HS 681 taxiing in the car park!

CVA 01 at sea with Type 82 escort (see Richard Beedall's pages)

Canadian aircraft in Germany (Baden Sollingen?) with TSR2 nuclear strike and Arrow fighters

Aluminium and white B70 Valkyries in flight, armed with Skybolt.
