Air Lines 1/72 Sea Fury

G'day
I'm receiving this from the US, and I was wondering how it goes together as a kit. All opinions/advice welcome.

At the mo I'm planning it to be either Carmichael's aircraft (NZ's sole Sea Fury operated in those colours) or an Iraqi aircraft...so if anyone has any decals please PM or email me thanks. B)

Any ideas in the whiffery vein...?

Here's a pic of the Frog/Novo/AirLines kit, with markings based on Jennings' Whif art.  Aligning the wings around the very poor fitting wing fold option was a problem.  The "sit" on the undercarriage seems all wrong to me, which I only care about because it disturbs the otherwise beautiful lines of the Sea Fury.  The interior of this kit is a cross between nonexistent and pure whiffery.  (I painted everything black).



And here is the PM kit done up in Carmichael's markings.



I very much prefer the PM kit.  It is not really a re-hash of the Frog kit, and was a much easier build.  I did use the Aeroclub white metal landing gear.  As with the USN bird I smash formed a new canopy.  Since the PM kit has some interior, which I further detailed just a little, I opened the canopy on the FAA aircraft.  

The Special Hobby version sits on my shelf unopened so I can't compare.

The PM one is real bare bones as is all their kits very reminiscent of Matchbox to me. Also they use a funny styrene which is kinda pebbly and flexible and difficult to sand smooth. Here's mine Sea Fury

Yeah well, (shrugging smilie), at least I tried.

BTW, This will be my very first Frog kit. I've been building Airfix, Matchbox, Italeri, Revell, Academy and Hasegawa for years....hope this ain't too bad...

Damn those are nice DG! I particularly like the U.S. Navy one but that might be some Yankee favoritism! I love seeing birds like this in markings they never wore in real life...it makes you look twice! Excellent builds! Thanks for sharing them with us.
