Last Hoorah of '05

Here's the last 2 models of the '05 build for me & the Ghostworks team.

1st off, the newly finished F-16G, proudly showing off the 35th FW out of Misawa AB Japan in early 2007 during renewed tensions between the US/RoK/Japan and North Korea.

And a distant relative, the F-16Ex (formerly known as the F-16/79), from the Intermediat Export FX comp. days before Pres. Reagan reversed the arms export policy. This is the 1/72 PM kit (it's really a poor POC YF-16 kit) that I converted be grafting a F404 nozzle from another source onto the F100 can & puttied in. (eventualy I'm going to do a APG-66 bird to complement this bird.

Shas those are two very hot birds there! I love the tigerstripe camo. That camo on the other 16 is sweet too! I love that you put insignia on both wings. I always thought it was stupid that we omit the insignia from one wing (just like the Steelers only put the team logo on one side of their helmets). Supposedly the U.S. took the insignia off one wing to make it harder for a.a. gunners to line up a shot, but in this age of missiles, etc. it seems silly. Of course, I think they should go back to using the meatball-in-a-star insignia and the flag on the rudder from the 1930s.  

Really nice builds there Shas and a great way to close out 2005!

Stole all the stores & 3 pylons from a Italer1 F-16C/D, here she is fitted with centerline droptank (per requirement for export, the inner wing pylons are not rigged for droptanks.), TERs of Mk.4 Rockeyes, 2 more Mk.4s, pair of Aim-9P and Js for self defense. Avionice is similar to the original F-16 requirement of a simple targeting radar (upgraded & digitialized set from the F-5E) & associated stuff.

Also like the idea of putting the insignia on both wings.

But, after all that paint work on the exterior, how come you don't do the cockpit ?

Finally, after getting a 'hip' name for our secret projects division, our latest completetion is our new artwork.

Toad, toatl work on the Ex was less than a day (I did it up top relieve the frustration of sanding various othe projects   )
