First-up are two ongoing projects. The Irish Air Corps Hawk T1A using the Italeri kit and the free decals that came with a Scale Aircraft Modeling mag from the early eighties !. Eventually it will overall Lichen Green with dayglo orange trim !

Yes the Hunter F6 is from the real world, and yes it has moved-on considerably since this phot, but 'what the h*ll' !, It's the Revell kit with Xtradecals.

Next (and last for today) is the Spanish AF G91Y. A Matchbox kit with a LOT of filler and decals from the box, a Carpena Mirage sheet and left-overs from the Heller Mirages. Colours are all from the RLM pallatte. I figured the Spanish may well have found some left-overs from the Franco era ! - RLM02 Grungrau, RLM 78 Sandgelb und RLM 79 Hellblau.

Enjoy.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Cool colours on that G-91. But watch out....it looks as if it's trying to commit hari kari by sneaking of the shelf !

That G91Y is one nice looking plane!  I haven't been able to get my hands on a G91 in 1/72 yet, but I've always liked the looks of that little plane.  Very nice!

Now, just 15 more models, and it'll be a proper posting blitz   :P

I love those Fiat jets - had the Airfix G-91 years ago, should track down another and get the wings aligned....damn youth! ^_^

Great stuff Ian! And if that Hunter    is progressing, where are the pics to prove it?

nev

I'm intrueged by your approach to the masking/painting of that Hunter Ian.  I guess the fit of the Revell kit enables you to get away with painting the wings before glueing them in.

Hi Nev
Yep masking the colour scheme sort of dictated the build from the start, I wouldn't even think about doing it this way if it was a 'normal' scheme. I finished decalling and final construction over the last three evenings. I'll not get away with following the same sequence with subsequent camouflaged ones !!
