Did some diddling about and took Evans image of the JSF navy varient and a scan of the model's instructions, scaled them to 72nd to match and wow, a lotta work here. The model's outline is in red.

The naval variant has a larger wing to accomodate the slower approach speed, nnd somewhat higher weight, required for carrier operations.  The plan view doesn't change that noticeably other than that; there are more changes in profile, esp. on the stovl version.

The biggie for me was the intakes for the engine. Almost a scale 1/2 of an inch too far forward. The sholders around the wing root are kinda bad, but not terrible.
I guess my big thing is the debate about building the wing to be accurate and and then doing a wiff with it.
