Given the beauty that is the TSR.2 and it's abundant variants featured at Telford and elsewhere, why I can't I find an on-line source of Profiles of them all.
It seems only now that Airfix and Xtradecal have got their act together that I can see some of the variants, but not all.
Is my Search Engine duff?

Are there, already, countless 3-views of bubble-topped, Vigilante intaked, FAST-packed TSR2's already out there?
If not, why not!?! :o

Captain Canada

That's a good idea, Merlin......we should compile all the pics and profiles of models etc. and make an article for the site.

We should reinstate Ollie !

Well well well, if it ain't Bruce, TSR-2 packaging conspirator extrordinaire! Maybe you can clear up the mystery surrounding the disappearance of our beloved mairfrog?

And I too can't wait to see some of those profiles!

Hi Bruce

I would imagine that people are holding back such items to tie in with various book releases or Magazine articles  Those who know are hardly going to post them on the web for other to use  for their own priofit when they themselves can publish the data that they spent the time to research. Or others who share others data without giving the appropriate credit  where its due.

i would guess we will see more stuff appear once the kit has been issued and the the spate of literature has been published.

Same goes for Jennings and his colour profiles those have/are for hannants and it would not go down well to appear on the web it they are supposed to be on one of the three decal sheets.

Like most things relating to TSR-2 it looks like were on hold awaiting for the Kit and its associated goodies that will follow in its wake.

Cheers

I think I have the original of that article in a box somewhere in storage, but I definitely remember reading it when it came out.

It mentions a triple MFD cockpit upgrade for service examples. Funny thing is, I was just wondering about a glass cockpit upgrade for the TSR-2 model I am building now as it will be representing a test example in service in the mid-eighties.

Cool stuff, I am more wishing the Airfix kit would be released so that we can see some of the goodies being developed for it....

Excellent article by the same gent who authored the experimental F-111 camoflage gallery I posted a link to.  'Most everything I've read by him has been most excellent reading.  *chuckle* I'll likely appropriate one or more of his schemes for some of my TSR.2s.

Well I don't mind sharing, so here's my second stab at TSR.2 profile drawing... the first is on Thunder & Lightnings and is a rather more boring XR219 jobby!

A liberal dose of imagination for the dayglo markings of course...!

LOVE the trainer canopy and anything looks sexy in day-glo........

Except for Radish!

Geoff_B

ooh that Trainer version is nice, did you happen to see lazlo's model version in the later Red/White and grey scheme from the 70's Damien ?

Ah, cool  :D

Something like this then... couldn't make out the badge on the tail and have moved the nose number to clear the canopy jettison window.
