This is the TA-183 that was at the Exhibit of Enemy Aircraft, held at the Royal Aircraft Establishment, in November 1945

This aircraft was not part of the public display(it was in a remote hangar at the RAE) and this is the only known published photo.

Very cool!

After the war British considered having the Germans build a Ta 183 so it could be flight tested but lack of funding killed the project.
Your picture looks very realistic.

Braincells, that little photo trick of yours could cause the Luft JMNs a whole passel of consternation! Keep up the good work!

If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

Very nice, Braincells ! Awesome photgraphy, for sure.....

I had a similar idea of the RAF boys getting to Bremmen before the Rooskies and flying that bird in a carrier based variant against Japan.

CANADA KICKS arse !!!!

Interesting pic! How about a USAAF TA-183 as one of the "FE" (Foreign Evaluation) aircraft at Wright Field?
Treat everyone you meet with kindness and respect; but always have a plan to kill them.

Thanks Brian....it's funny, that Braincells and I got almost the same angle on our shots. I took mine about 3 years ago for the Brit-O-Rama contest, so I got rights on that angle !

Picture perfect! Now give the original back to the RAF Museum archives!

 Any chance certain modellers made their own miniature versions of that sole aircraft? Or is that too much to hope for?

More of yours as well, pretty please Cap'n!
