Wow.... such nice words. Really, thanx guys.

There's no secret, it's an Italeri Hawk, built straight from the box with the gear raised. The paint is all enamel. Xtracolour Flourescent Orange sprayed straight onto the white plastic - DayGlo/Fluorescent colours HAVE to be sprayed onto white surfaces otherwise they just don't glow.

The orange was then given three coats of Kleer/Future - brushed on with a big, soft, brush - to seal it in place.

Then masked and sprayed Xtracolour Lichen Green - the underside green from the GR5 and GR7 Harriers.

I cut a couple of discs of plain white decal film to sit under the wing roundels and thassit. See no secrets,  just a quick WhIf. Glad y'all seem to like it.

So I thought I'd post a few more pics of the completed thing. Just a couple of the completed build with some progress shots..... Martin - If you want I could write this up for the next newsletter - let me know, OK ?

Progress Shots:

Construction done, canopy masked and a couple of thin coats of Xtracolour Flourescent Orange sprayed

3   4

3 The orange panels have been given two coats of Johnsons Kleer (Future Wax in the US and Canada) not sprayed but brushed on with a broad, soft brush used ONLY for this, then I sprayed the whole model with a coat of Humbrol Glosscote to seal the orange in. Then the thing was masked and two thin coats of Xtracolour Lichen Green sprayed.  4  Decals on - keeping company on the workbench with a 'real' Tamiya Spit Mk I and a 'Nearly not a WhIf' Heller Sabre.

That's it all done

Thanx once again for all the kind comments. I really enjoyed this 'paints kits differently' project. I took it to the Branch Meeting last week where it drew an awful lot of questions - mainly on how I got the orange onto the thing without losing my sanity !

Next What If ??.... probably that Sabre seen lurking with intent in the far recesses of the workbench !

Ian, amazing! Thanks for the mini review! Perhaps the H stands for Hawk as well, and Heller, and, um, H as in the silent H in Spitfhire!
