I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

If it looks like one it must be one. The only critical remarks I've heard so far are the fit problems. And I use "problems" lightly as they seem fairly minor.

Jeez, 40 years in development and there are fit problems. Sheesh.

Nothing major jumps out as being wrong...

There's an errant engraved line going up through the SLAR panel on both sides of the nose which needs filling. The starboard nose is incorrectly engraved to match the port side - so you need to fill the oblong panel under the forward canopy and also the panel outlining the sall square panel directly under the rear edge of the rear canopy. There are a few other missing or misplaced panel lines, careful attention to walkaround photos will pay dividends.

The painting instructions assume all three aircraft had identical stencilling and placement of serials and fin flashes, when the real things varied somewhat. As mentioned in another thread the paint choices for cockpit, seats etc. are wrong. The inner line of perforations in the wheel hubs are missing (I think they could just about have managed those), and the hub centres are simplified (entirely understandable). Landing gear somewhat simplified and a few door braces missing.

Not really anything I'll be losing sleep over I must confess. I'm just happy to finally have one. The cockpit isn't really an issue for me since I'm planning on doing a new pit with as much GR.4 stuffed in there as possible. Landing gear I can live with.
What can I say? If it looks right to me then it is right as far as I'm concerned, I'm just glad to finally have one.
Do not despair for Johnny head-in-air,
He sleeps as sound as Johnny underground.
Fetch no shroud for Johnny in-the-cloud,
And keep your tears for him in later years.
 Better by far for Johnny-th-bright-star,
To keep your head and see his children fed.
