Ginge!

Ever have one of these days?

I am making X-Terminator, an RCAF Mk X Lancaster.

I take the narrow prop blades of the sprue. Sand off all the raised 'paint guides' for the yellow tips (front & back times 3 blades times 4 motors).

My dog starts bugging me for his walk, so I take him out, make some dinner, go back upstairs to glue on the props...and glued on the WRONG propellers! Argh!

Anyways, its a nice kit, benefits from test-fitting.

I am half tempted to make it an OP TIGER Lancaster, for night bombing runs over Japan in September 1945 now.

RCAF Tiger ?

Go for it ! I wonder how far along the war would have gone before we started using our own roundels. Arrow Graphics do the all blue background leafy roundels in their SAR Lanc sheet.

Nice looking kit.

Looks super Ginge

BTW, is it true that Leading Edge are selling re-boxed Hasegawa Lancs in Canada?

A LHS had the RCAF SAR version with Leading Edge decals in the Hasegawa box.

Oh, and I saw this on the net:

Hey Ginge,

I'm pretty sure all our post-war Lancs had the wide-chord blades, so your airplane is still a go.

It looks great (but then again, any Lanc does  ^_^   ). Get some paint on her! It sounds like a real cool idea.

I have NEVER built a Lancaster, but might give an Airfix one a go. :P
