"A study of magnificence"

The accompanying writing about ZK-YYY is from the latest "Classic Wings" magazine. Page 9, issue 54 if you're keen. But that's my title.

"The lovely Yak-3/-11 conversion completed by Pioneer Aero Restorations at Ardmore Airport, Auckland last year has found a new home. Commisioned by the late Ray Hanna's Old Flying Machine Co. the completed aircraft was sold by Ray a few weeks before his untimely death in December [RIP Ray - Zac].

"The new owner is former RNZAF fighter pilot Arthur Dovey who lives in Wanaka where Ray had earlier chosen to base his New Zealand collection, so Arthur didn't have to worry himself with shipping or delivery flights. Registered ZK-YYY, Arthur's Yak-3 is now poised to make its airshow debut at the forthcoming Warbirds Over Wanaka air show this Easter."

So, until I get access to some more, appropriate decals, the Hanna Memorial Duo is complete.

Wait til I get myself a Buchon, and a Mark IX, then the fun can start! B)

Heller's 1:72 kit, 1960s boxing, done with Superscale decals and Tamiya acrylics.

Enjoy guys.

Very sweet Zac! I like how the bright red around the nose compliments the two shades of gray. Very striking.
