Airfix GB Entry #2:
In the 1950's, Dehavilland Canada built the Me-262 instead of Messerschmitt.  It was designed as a fast, twin-engined recce/FAC plane.

Modifications to include:
- Replace underslung Jumo jet engines with wingtop turboprops;
- Incorporate a two seat bubble canopy;
- replace existing tail with a true T-Tail (gasp, what?);
- replace armed nose with a camera-filled variant;

Markings?

That was a June deadline, right?

You do mean DHC-262, don't you?  The Me-263 was an improved rocket fighter.

Aw crap!  You're right.  Shows you what I know about German aircraft!

Somewhere on this site someone did a prop Me-262.  I know I've seen it somewhere.  Was Leigh's, I believe.  And Wolfik was doing a new one, too.

IIRC Mr Mouse, an crazy New Zealander made a zwillinged mixed-propulsion 262 with two jets and two turboprops.

Now, I can't for the life of me remember what his name was............
