I don't know. Would be fun to explore. And plenty more choices.

Jeep Carriers. Ummm..... What if our big hull carrier was accompanied by a, say, MEF or MEU (can't remember the exact unit designation) with their own landing support vehicles, and escorts?

Now that sounds like a good idea. That would more than likely give terrorists some food for thought, because they wouldn't know when we would pop up and kick their gluteus maximus back to the stone age.  ;D

hımm , and I was thinking that I was definitely onto something when ı found that sub in 2005 , while the others have been discussing it for a long time .Well the only need for a submarine launched aircraft is when you need designators for the ballistic missiles you have just launched . I wonder how many aircraft you would need to knock out a power on the size of China or UK . Since the USA and former USSR have far too many nukes to take out .

ıCBM silos are very though , any conventional missile would have to be really accurate to disable the mouth to imprison the missile inside . War breaking is good but though .

Submarine carrier built/begun by our dear captain some years ago! Captain, we must see this one again! When will it resurface?

Top-mounted, lengthwise clamshell doors that open up to expose the flat a/c carrier deck?  Think James Bond villain style.
Any kind of a/c you want: Catapults, you name it.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Hehehe... hope this has not been mentionned before in this thread, but  here's a fantastic conept, the Space Cruiser.

The Starfighter had been nicknamed "the missile with the man on it"; this would be "the MIRV with a man on it!"
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Rafael,

You posted a picture in this thread called "The Whole Nine Yards Submarine Carrier".  Do you have any pictures of it, or what the design was designated and such?

That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.

Hola, KJ_Lesnick!!!

I don't have more of that subject (sigh). That was one internet find googling around. IIRC it was an article on some e-zine or another.

What I like the most about it is the "real carrier" layout, with a full flight deck, sexy x-shaped runways, and elevators. The size of this beast is just incredible, for a sub.

It was an incredible design, and I'd have to agree with the realism of the design

This was taken from a post in secretprojects.com. Is part of the work of two gentlemen, Rudolf and Robbert Das, a team of twins, from the Netherlands. These gentlemen are futurologists and designers. Never read or heard from them before, but their work is impressive:

Check out the "podded propulsion units" underwater hinting at today's "electric ships" concept, and planing surfaces. The arresting gear and round elevators. One very plausible concept.

A wolfpack of such beauties carrying fighters, patrol aircraft, and bombers could be a nightmare.
