Nice modelling Lee.

I seem to remember Bryan Philpott doing a similar conversion in Airfix magazine in the early seventies with an Airfix Lancaster, Frog Shackleton and lots of balsa.

I don't like the front on a Lincoln though, with that curious flat glass front. Always looked like a Lancaster that had collided with a greenhouse.

Glad you received the Gnat OK.

Cheers

Ah, the smell of putty in the air, the little motes of dust from the sanding...that is really going to be some heck of a bird, sir !

Looking very well Lee. Any thoughts on altering the main canopy to something a little more up to date? Perhaps making the top and rear section solid with perhaps some Vulcan style portholes in it and leaving the front and side sections in a framed condition?

Cheers

QuoteNo.  I'm sticking with the standard Lancaster canopy.  I really want it to looks as normal as possible.  The double take factor is what I want.

As for a scheme, I'm tempted with the high altitude day fighter scheme of med sea grey uppers and PRU blue underneath.
That sounds very nice Lee.

Keep it coming, Lee, but you're allowed a wee break on Saturday evening  ;)

So will she make Perth or be unveiled at the Nothern Show - because I for one can't wait to see her in the flesh

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
