Here's a Venezualan Su-47.  It's a Zvezda 1/72 Su-47 Berkut kit built pretty much out of the box, with decals from a Hobbycrap F-16.  No real story behind it.  I gave my friend who sent me some kits for Christmas (of which this was one) the choice of where the kits served.  The choices for this one were Finland, Venezuala, or Argentina.

I love it!  You beat me to the punch.  I still have to build a Venezuelan Flanker (not so much a What-If but more of a Could be).

Nice one!

Hey Anothony what was it like to build? Fit any good or ws it a real trial by plastic?

I have got one in my wardrobe to do as an RAAF version. Replacement for the F-111's.

I really liked building this kit.  It went together very easily and quickly (there aren't many parts to it).  The wings are a little tricky, and don't fit quite right, but it's a good kit.  It's actually a pretty well thought out kit, in that the parts, other than the wings, all fit very nicely together.

So, how does the Svesda kit compare to the Italeri kit?   B)

Heh, if their Mig 1.44 kit is any indication, it's the exact same thing.

So that means that if I purchased the Svesda kit, I would also have to fight to get the port main landing gear wheel to not lean towards the fuselage! :(

Yes, I also agree that the only thing worth salvaging from the Hobbycrap 1/72 F-16 kit were the decals. B)

You mean the wheel itself?  Whenever I get an ill-fitting wheel, I just use a Xacto and run it around the interior of the mounting hole, and make it a bit wider.  Use a dab of CA (Superglue) to the hole, and apply.  It sets pretty quick, but I don't mind holding it for a few seconds.  I end up doing that to any wheel I pre-paint, as they never fit, and I'm tired of breaking plastic  B)

It's the same kit. Been boxed by Italeri, Zvezda and Revell. I've built one so far Italeri boxing and it is a sweet little build. Got 2 Revell boxings left to do.

The decal for the instrument panel for the Italeri S-37 represents an ol' fashioned set of guages and dials, wheras i think the Zvezda one has one that represents a "glass cockpit"
