AeroplaneDriver

Since I flew all day Sunday I took a day off today, and spent a good part of it fiddling with plastic.

I planned getting some progress made on my Airfix GB Seahawk, but instead was gripped by inspiration from another source.

Since it's an Airfix mold, this will probably also end up in the GB, but for now it lives here.

The grand plan for this somewhat crude Starfighter...well, thats a secret for a bit longer, but the cockpit has been filled and faired in with balsa.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

As for the lower fuselage....it has a cockpit cut into it to become the upper fuselage.

It's getting too late for any details on the backstory tonight, but here is a roughly tacked together pic of the model.  Obviously there is lots more cleaning up, and filling with styrene and putty to do, but it's still pretty clear from the shape that this model is from a Long Time Ago In A Galaxy Far, Far Away

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

It could be believable as the prototype for the X-wing fighter, or the fighter that comes after the X-Wing fighter.   B)
