Models In Motion...

I considered all sorts of ingenious, multi-layered designs that would cradle the models in transit from our current house to the new one out in the country.

Everything from simple box trays lined with drycleaning bags to elaborate, hand-cut cradle set-ups specific to each model's body and wings.

Then, I took another look at the cab of my truck and thought, "You know, there's a lot more horizontal space than I give this thing credit for."

So, twenty or so trips up and down various staircases later and I've moved about two-thirds of my built kits to the acreage.

Not one piece broken or missing (so far, fingers crossed, etc., for the rest).

Funny, I have never felt as self-conscious as I did this afternoon, taking my models out to the truck in public.  Yet, once at the house, every single model's trip up the 15 risers to the second floor became a serious "sortie" complete with passionate sound effects!

Now, that is a simple, straight-forward, and downrigh practical approach, JHM.  I applaud you for seeing the obvious and using it.  Mind you, I rather imagine you loved those sorties, too. :D

There is that, a sudden or panic stop could give you the styrene equivalent of AMARC.

What's with the "classified" sign?    Doesn't seem to be a current project, since it's out of the "In Progress" box.

And the Mirage in the first picture, next to the Swiss F-5, as well as the CF-104 next to it. Have you posted pix of these before?  :redx:

Way to go Mr Howling Mouse! I'm glad your air fleet arrived safely. You've got some very good luck. If I tried that with all the hills around here I'd have the world's largest spares box at the end.

That project hiding behind the "Classified" sign, could that be the Ultra-Top-Secret Meteor project we've been clamoring to see more of?

One day once everything is in the new place you're really going to have to take more group shots so that I may salavate over your awesome whiff prowess!
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Bingo!

Thanks for all the comments, guys.  And, yes, I did imagine getting pulled over with this rather questionable load!

The sorties 'round the interior of the new house were great because there's no one around who can see into the place.

I plan on doing some LABS runs next week using TFR over the furniture, etc.!

That looks vaguely familiar...

Hopefully, all arrived in one piece.

Ah, a sighting of the Morsair! Yes, when you get the new digs set up, you need to do a reshoot of ALL your work and post it out in a best of thread for the rest of us to admire. You've got some good looking work there. B)    :salute:
