Re-issued Airfix kit finished as a COD plane for HMS Eagle (fits in with a theme I have running). This was actually considered by MoD in the late sixties/ early seventies.

Standard kit with the exception of the nosewheel which is from a Phantom (much cut down) with Islander wheels.

Oh I like it, just right for the navy.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Another winning build, Nigel! I really like the look of this one in RN markings and colors and the arrestor hook is the icing on the cake!

Ive never seen the point of jumping out of a perfectly servicable aircraft for fun.

The paras i can understand...just. bailing out cause u have to trow the plane away in mid air is totaly understandable, but for fun?  nah those guys are just crasy.

When we take cadets for the first ever flight on the Tutor, they get the full safty breif, includeing the use of the chute if they need to....I always say to em " not to worry, its not the fall that kills u. its the sudden stop at the bottom".
I always hope for the best.

First (and only) plane I've ever been sick in...... and it was only last year !

Great model Mr. Bunker. Great idea, nicely realised.

Another great job. Personally I think that you ideas for the Islander should have been put to use in real life.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Boy, do I love Islanders.  Got several of these I have hoarded for years.  Even offered to send Airfix one of the kits so they could redo the kit (seems they were missing the clear parts).  But they never took me up on it.  And now they rereleased the kit.  Guess I gotta get some more...

The only way to improve on a great idea is to execute it well, and you've done both Nigel!  ;)

In that case I should love Cessna 180s.
