Hi Martin

I know the Argie Canberras used the standard RAF camoflage, but how about painting your TSR-2 in one of the later war style Skyhawks colour schemes, as these were adapted to meet the terrain colours for low level work over the falklands. I think thers was a SAM on the Argentine Aircraft in the Falklands last year.

After seeing those Canbrerra piccies im half tempted to do the recently purchased Airfix B-6 in that scheme and find some other idea for the TSR.

The South African idea is rearing its head again.    Oh well put that one on hold till the Marine Fleiger one is sorted out.

Oooh yeah, Saudi!  I don't think I've seen that suggested before.  In that lovely desert camo the Tornados wear

Or NMF like the Lightnings

Quote...a South African one would look brill esp in their Buccaner scheme and toting some AS.30's from an old Jaguar kit.

Funny you should say that Mairfrog, but thats exactly the version I'm doing for my TSR2. The only difference is I'm using Sea Eagles instead of AS30's.

Hmmmm. I'm liking the idea of SAAF Canberra's my self, especially in 'Bush war' cammo.

The fin is going to be in different camo to the rest, possibly faded DSG/Nato green with an RAF fin flash, showing the types of scrounging which the RAF and RN were and still are subjected to by the misers at the Treasury.
Cool, Wooksta!

A/c in the 'boneyard' type state and with other a/c's panels etc. have always been my favourite....can't wait to see it !

This seems to be the appropriate place to put this post, but My TSR2 is almost finally ready. All that needs to be done is the Canopy masked and painted, the decals and underwing stores added.

Finally managed to get the 1976 RAF Yearbook with the article by Derek Woods and the What-if RAF artwork as can be seen on Martins site. However nobody ever mentioned that there is an article by Roland Beaumont of flying the TSRS along with another cutaway drawing showing her armed with tanks and AS-30's with the recon pod or Red Beard for the weapons bay.

I'm doing a version (XS666) on a RAF dump with panels open and bits missing, praise be to Black and Decker sanders and drills which should be done for the nats, and i've only sliced open one finger so far.
