Soon...maybe sooner than the Draconis Combine can predict, we might be in the Battletech universe:

Nice work Greg!

Now the question is what or rather where did you obtain that gatling gun?  It looks like it might have originated from an M163 Vulcan kit by Italeri.  Am I close?  Good work on the details, had no idea it was going to be so large when looking at the cockpit details and the canopy from the previous page.  Not until you put the figures next to it did it really sink in as to how large this thing was.

Yeah, I know...the cockpit is kind of sparse.  You pegged the gatling gun correctly, the only addition was using a computer printer cable as the feeding round belt.
It was an interesting experiment, and holds up visually...I do need to work on my detailing skills, though.

She's beautiful!

One question, though- how does the pilot get into the cockpit? Maybe you could add a rope ladder out of photoetch...

Thanks!
Nope, unlike the Earth Mechs, Omnimechs can lower themselves down, much like a sitting ostrich.  They use this manuever, hull down, frequently to make suprise attacks from ambush positions.
