Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

One of the coolest looking of all Russian fighters IMHO.  Had it contintued, I think it would have been a real killer airplane.

Somebody did a 1/48 conversion of the Academy MiG-21PF kit on ARC a few years back.

Here are some more pics of the real thing - for those not in the know, it was actually a MiG-21 development intended to carry a larger radar.  Look here for more info.

And also a link to the 1/48 scale model built by Jan Mikes and shown on ARC:  http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/Fea1...ikes/fea917.htm

Folks,

That's a smart lookin' machine there - but that's also a mighty expensive bit of resin!  45.99GBP?  That's almost $90USD!  For but wee 1/72nd scale bird that's a lot of cash for that small an amount of resin!

If somebody is willing to shovel out the cash they could possibly use it in a couple whiffs. Two that pop into my head are the Chengdu J-7MF whichs is a Chinese project for there J-7(Mig-21) that looks an awful lot like the YE-8, flew back in 2001 I believe.

And the Nanchang Q-6, a reverse-engineered Mig-23 with a chin intake, which you can read about here.
