Whilst traveling on the train from Chester to Shotton this am I noticed tucked away in the far corner of what I assume is Chester Airport what looked like two Su something or others - fighter types Su 9 ? - and a Mig 23.

Very shabby condition, does anyone know anything about these three ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Once you've visited the land of the Loonies, a return is never far away.....

Is the MiG23 going spare???
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

Last year I went 'flying' with the Cheshire Police Air Support Unit - the ONLY time I have ever been sick in the air - I'm not certain but I think they were acquired some time back by the same outfit that refurbish JP's & Strikemasters for private owners.

When I was there that company had seven or eight JP's/Strikemasters in the hanger in various states of refurbishment.

Personally I'm astonished that the Politburo Representatives of the freedom loving peoples of the Democratic Republic of Merseyside could believe that our secret air defence force could remain hidden in that border area, surely the neighbouring gulag of Bolton would have been a more logical choice, eh Brother Thorvic ?   .

Confuscious (maybe)
