Heres a couple pics of my Hase 1/48 J7W1 shinden in operational colors





the aircraft looked too interesting to paint it in the basic green & white

Very cool, indeed.  Any idea what the 3 calligraphy characters next to the Hinomaru on the forward fuselage mean?

lol they are the "Beware of propeller" insignia that was supposed to go on the tail  :lol:  :lol:  :lol:  I decided that the nose needed some extra color :D

Dang!  And to think: I was just about to get them as a tattoo for "Peace, Luck, and Wisdom"!!!

Wow Wulff that's one sharp bird there! I really like the camo paintjob on it! B)

Those markings add just the right splash of color to it too!

The 1/48th Shinden is a cracker.....I've one built and another in the stash.
My built one is gloss black (weathered of course!) with appropriate markings for the pilot, "Tiger" Tonaka.
I discovered that the back edge of the F-16 rudder matches the intake sweep on the Shiden.....hence, lots of F-16 decal options for the Shiden!!

Thinking Nationalist Chinese "Snow Tiger" for my other one.

Is there an after-market propeller available for this kit in 1/48th scale?  I would really like to get a couple of the propellers for other projects.

I believe Hasegawa does.  Both in the version shown and in the Jet propelled version.   B)
