Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

QuoteThey certainly would grace any table!

Thinking of a Ki-262 now....already done one in "blues" but a jungle scheme would be terrific too.

Oh thanks a lot Radish! :dum:

Just as I was happy with the idea of doing "08", you HAD to mention a Japanese jungle camouflage scheme now didn't you! :dum:  :dum:

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I was immediately forced to open Photoshop and see what one would look like didn't I! B)

Then, of course I had to see what another one might look like in a slightly different scheme didn't I! B)  :P

Are well I hope these schemes keep you awake at night!

Cheers

Richard

Now I need to know should I do "08" or one of these Japanese ones? :dum:

Radish

oh my!!
Gorgeous!!!
Look out those '262s.
I've a great appreciation for the Monogram '262 in 1/48th, and I can see them happening!!
Glorious.
Thanks!! Just as envisaged some....JOY!!

Go with number 4 but tone done the under side color. Make it a greyish blue instead of off white.

And take all the extra markings and put them together. A red lightning bolt on the nose with an arrow on the aft fuselage only, that yellow thingy from #3 for above the tailplane and the three white stripes for below it. And move the bird from #6 to just below the cockpit. B)  B)

Africa, 08, no question about it !
Japan, I rather like 1 & 6, look like overwater schemes, great for short range anti-shipping and/or recce.

Hi guys,

well our local model comp (South Australian) will soon be here so its time that I pulled my finger out and got this 262 finished! I have re-thought the whole thing and have done yet another side profile in preparation for the re-paint.

This one is a German owned and flown Me-262a1+ (the + means that it has been upgraded for harsh African conditions B) ). Flying from bases in Deutsch-Südwestafrika (Namibia) to protect the mining and oil exploration operations going on there.

The biggest threat comes from South African F-80 Shooting Stars!

Once I get going with the airbrushing I'll post regular updates in the "Show us your current project or pic of your workbench" section, plus it will be very heavily weathered, so stay tuned!

Richard.

Richard,

Can't wait to see the final product.

Sorry that I missed your initial post.
My answer re: which of those first four schemes to choose:

"You need to get three more models."

Each one is THAT good.  I'm truly humbled by your creative vision.
