Thanks for the JMN definition, Anthony! I live some 30 miles from La Canada... many blondes consider it part of Canada and are dissapointed in the local beer and bacon.

And Brian, I promise to make something with spats some day. My girlfiend knits, and she loved the Russell Crowe magazine cover... so I have plenty of knitting supplies, which I've been tempted to pick up after seeing some of the great work here.

As for beer, I rarely drink it, but when I do it's stuff that can substitute for motor oil - Guinness Extra Stout or San Miguel Dark.

While finishing the cargo plane (it needs a name! Suggestions?) I had a dream of it coming in for a landing somewhere in a 'stan, loaded with supplies and troops, flaps down, engine flaps up and a huge cloud of red dust behind it...

Frank, it's good to see you over here!  You'll fit right in.  I have that C-5.  I picked it up just as a novelty item, and have been trying to figure out what to do with it ever since.  Oddly enough, I'm thinking of re-scaling mine, only making it into a tubby 1/100 fighter.

And yes, I did steal my avatar from Naoto.  He posts here too!

Heh, I was gonna ask you if you're from Canada (someone's required to, surprised it hasn't been asked yet), but I remembered you live in LA from Starshipmodeler.

For the cargo plane, how about C-18 as a designator, and Provider II as the name?  Liftmaster II?  Liberator II?  Deliverer?  Hyperion (in the C-130 Hercules vein)?  I got a lot of "II's," I know, but we're talking the USAF here.   :P

Now, learn photoshop, do up a pic, and you'll have your dream take form!

D'OH!!  Philp and Naoto, I knew I'd forgotten a few!

Globemaster IV. Hey, 'tis no sillier than Globemaster III.

Call it what they really wanted to call the C-17- the Loadmaster.

Welcome, welcome, welcome from another mad Whiffer.

Love your Cargo-Jet!  And I'm NOT just saying that because it's a T-Tail, either.

But...it is a scientifically proven fact that a T-Tail adds a minimum 10-to-the-seventh-power "coolness factor" to any aircraft.

Now, feed me----I'm hungry (and Canadian).
