Evenin' all

Can anybody tell me the RAL colours for the German equivelant of 'Euro 1' camo. I know there's a website here that used to have all the schemes and profiles, but for some reason only the modern Marineflieger references are working ATM.

My thanks in advance.

Hi Ian,
the english version of the site appears to be TU.

Here is the Gerrman site:
Don Color

Click on "Tarnungen".

Here is a quote directly from the instruction sheet I did in 2001 (can it be five years ago??) for the Victory Models 1/48 German F-104 sheet.  The information came directly from official German sources:

Very late in the F-104's career in German service the traditional splinter camouflage gave way to the wrap-around "lizard" scheme then in vogue.  Colors were RAL 7021 Schwarzgrau (approximately FS 26081), RAL 6003 Olivegrün (approximately FS 24082), and FS 24079 dark green.  All colors were semi-gloss.  This was a hand-sprayed pattern with soft edges, and a LOT of variation between individual airframes - so much so that it almost appears that there wasn't a pattern, although there definitely was.  This aircraft was flown by the Luftwaffe's research & development unit, WTD 61 (Wehrtechnische Dienstelle 61, formerly known as Erprobungsstelle 61).  Note the use of toned down rescue markings on this paint scheme.  Very little other stencilling is visible.  Tip tanks in this scheme were overall FS 24079 dark green, but aircraft with older camouflaged tanks (even some with fluorescent orange) were often seen until the end of F-104 operations.

Ian, don't forget the major variation used by JG71 which featured a "fractal" effect using pink, beige and a  brightish blue. No RLM numbers I'm afraid as these paints were locally procured from a hardware store.
