Here's what's underway:

Testors R3C-2 1/48 kit  (two of them), remove the lower wing and put radiator/oil cooler in that fuselage depression.   Extend upper wing with parts from second kit.  Convert to 3 blade prop again with second kit leftovers.   Two struts per side from Contrail and fairings made from leftover drop tank bits.  Rudimentary cockpit largely left the same and ''the dude (as my kids call the pilot figure)" filling in all internal sight lines.

One modified Bipe on floats.  :ar: ( One Day late, but oh well)

Paint scheme as yet undetermined.

Radish

Sounds brilliant!!
It's such a tiny beggar isn't it?

Scheme?

Wow Daryl, that's a smashing idea! I'd be tempted to give it some sort of naval camo scheme (perhaps two different shades of gray, some white and blue) and complete it as a floatplane fighter. I hope you're able to post pics of this for us!

Brian,

I haven't any capacity to do that yet, but that may be changing soon.   We simply haven't adequate software to upload to something like Photobucket or the like.

One quirk about that little kit is that the engine bulges and exhausts are different profiles and heights on the left and right sides..........strange.....but ever so good for a whiff project.

I'd thought of GSB and a very light, matte grey with the fuse being one color and the flying surfaces the other...arrangement as of yet undetermined.   Either that or following the general idea that Roger Fabrocini(spelling?????) did on Hyperscale a year or two ago with the Porco Rosso kit in 1/72.

Yes, it is little! :P

Left out of the initial posting   :dum:  was a question regarding others thoughts on biplane modifications so if anyone wished to think aloud, that's  fine here.   B)
