QuoteThank you lancer!

You are lucky to have one of the Revell kits, a few years ago I had a chance to buy one but passed it up because I thought it was the PM molded kit in a Revell box, now I know better. I can only hope Revell will release that kit again.

If you like this PM kit that I built then you will love the DML Horten Ho 229B I just finished a few minutes ago! Its way better than the PM kit, no pics today of it but maybe next weekend I will have time and if the weather is still good.

Revell are re-releasing the Ho 228 in 1/72 - at least in Europe. UK price £6 odd

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

How can you get these results with PM models? What can you get with Tamihawa?
An agreement with Devil?
Why do you beat us with this? It is not fair.

Thanks Chris and ysi_maniac!

Chris,
That is GREAT news about the Revell kit, I am sure it will be released here in the U.S. a few months later. I hope the Arado E555 and BV P194 are available again too. If they are I will buy at least two of each. My plans for my next Horten (Revell kit) is to add a fin and rudder to it. If the Horten was mass produced it would have had the fin and rudder included in the design to make it a more stable gun platform.

Thanks for your comments about my work with the PM kit, when I can I will post pics of my new model, the 1/48 scale DML Horten Ho 229B, it blows the PM kit away! But then again the PM kit costs only 1/4 the price of the DML. You get what you pay for (sometimes). B)

How do you get the pics like that? Diorama, PS job or combination of both?

Julhelm,

I built a photobase to use for taking pictures of my models and painted a backdrop on foamboard.
I use PS mostly for the aged B/W pics and I also try to age the color pics too but that is not easy to it right, sometimes I get the effect I want but fail most of the time. I'm still learning how to photograph my models and progress is slow but steady, each time I set up and take new pictures I learn new things.
