I seem to remember seeing a 72nd model of the Hawker Sea Hawk at a show a couple of years ago in an all black scheme it was from the Fleet requirements unit if I remember right. Anyone got any pics or profiles of such a bird.

Hmm Ollie, those don't look like Sea Hawks, unless these Hawks ARE called that in the Navy.

Can anyone verify that.

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

FGA.6 WV798 in the FRADU paint scheme at the Second World War Preservation Society's museum at Lasham airfield in Hampshire; May 1997.

There were also all-Red Sea Hawks:

"Part of a private collection of jets tucked away in sleepy Birlingham is this attractive Sea Hawk. In generally good condition, there is some corrosion on the undercarriage and the canopy perspex is beginning to craze, but overall in surprisingly good condition for an aircraft that has been out in the open air for some years."

"Here is a Sea Hawk in an all red scheme similar to that worn by five Sea Hawks of 738 squadron when displaying at the Farnborough SBAC show in 1957. This is 'XE364', marked up as G-JETH, but really she's XE489! She was the second last Sea Hawk to be built for the RN and is seen here on gate guard duty at the Gatwick Aviation Museum, though still wearing 'BOURNEMOUTH FLYING CLUB' titling on the port fuselage. A flying visit in early 2002 found her to suffering somewhat from the surrounding trees - lots of green muck building up on her upper mid fuselage."
