Wow!  What a wonderful build, your craftsmanship is truly outstanding. Do you have a backstory for it? From the markings and camo, I'm guessing a fictional Scandinavian country.

I believe the Seagull is finished in the markings of Mr Howling Mouse's home planet Riboflavin IV, but I'm sure the master himself will be glad to verify that.

Absolutely outstanding work, Man-Ho! That's gotta be one of the best "first attempts" at biplane rigging I've ever seen. Heck it beats damn near everything I've ever rigged hands down! My hat is off to you for your incredible talent, skill and patience! This one is a real beauty!

Thanks, guys!

Back-story (of sorts)

Running the length of the Atlantic Ocean, between North/South America and Europe/Africa, lies the narrow continent of Centralia ™ comprising some 23 nations ranging from present-day sovereign Vikings in the North to exotic tropicals farther South.

One such sovereign nation is the "Kingdom of Cambria" (KoC).

The Vengal "Seagull II" depicted is a 1930's coastal observation floatplane reverse-engineered and improved from the more familiar Curtiss SOC Seagull.  While unarmed (the KoC remained neutral during both World Wars), this all-metal update featured a 2400 c.i. radial engine (manufactured by Forge Industries) and improved twin-float configuration.

The Seagull II's top speed of 298 PPH (Perodans Per Hour----they don't use knots or MPH in the KoC) and operational ceiling of 23,900 Herdots made it a worthy aircraft for its strictly observational role in its day.

The last operational Seagull II was struck from active duty in the neighboring country of Svengera in 1947.

C'mon Baz, tell us the truth: you binned the vac and just got an injection-moulded kit of the Seagull, yes?

Right?  :o  :o  :o

Not eligible for voting? Goshdarnit! That is some damned fine work, you just can't tell it's a vac.

See this? Here? It's my hat. I take it off to you, and then proceed to eat it.

Step one: gather your needles and yarn.

Step two: pour yourself a cup of tea.

Step three: loop over the needle...........

Great stuff.

It's a shame we can't vote for this. It's a shoo-in for the "Not Eligible" category though  :)

Barry, I'm afraid my English isn't as good as your modelling, so all I can say is

I cannot believe you got that masterpiece from a wrinkled sheet of styrene :o
Absolute masterpiece. Can you build me one so I can put it on my shelf and tell people it's mine?

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Thanks guys!  Funny how, in all the scrambling to get it done, all I'm thinking about is "I sure hope the What If guys like it."

My wife thinks the whole situation is pretty funny as she knows that it is exactly this group that motivates me.

Thanks, again.

I can't believe I somehow missed this thread! Great, great work.

When you've all recovered your emotional stability and are ready for Vac Form II, I'll be there...
