QuoteI was sitting there, staring at this model, and a nasty little thought entered my head.

Buy another F-15, build the fuselage, and then lop it clean in two down the middle and attach the two halves either side of the current fuselage for a ... four engined job

I like the three engined job, but I can't work out how to knock up a convincing third engine, and the thought of butchering two 15's into one (F-30?  ) seems like a blast  B)  Pretty sure it's been done on here somewhere before, though.

Edit - Ooooo .... four engines, canards, and a twin tail! That'd be a beast of a 'plane
Like this monster conversion by Eddie M?

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Oh my goodness...!!!! :o
what the grey bird behind the 4-engine monster ?
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Yeah, something not dissimilar to that uber Tomcat. Although now I feel like I have to attempt something else!

Maybe, but Eddie would likely be the first guy to encourage you to create your own particular version of the concept, anyhow!

I, for one, would most certainly like to see your version of a 4 engine monster. I bet a 4 banger Eagle would be bitchin'! SimonR did a 4lanker that was 10x better than mine creation and I bet yours will be just as good. Start cuttin'!!! :)

Things are proceeding slowly on this. Trying to come up with a different engine layout while I work on the cockpits

Edit: I like the canards on that Eagle, btw  B)

The Cat a.k.a Meowbag

Well, Mr Slowest-modeller-on-the-planet is back.

I'm almost nearly finished the cockpits for this, and as I did my first bit of scratchbuilding (if you can call it that) I thought I'd share.

Those overhead ejection handles (dunno what they're technically called, but you don't really see 'em anymore), well, I always thought they looked cool as, so I added some to my F-15 made out of fuse wire  ^_^

The photo's a bit cack coz my mate can't find the charger for her Nikon, but here you go anyway. This means I'm very close to getting the fuselage together which means i can nearly start choppin' plastic!  :D

Nice use of the coin for scale effect  ;)
