Just in case you folks were wondering what happened to the spats from the Gee Bee and what I've been up to the last few days, here's a sneak peek.

I'm hoping to have this done by the weekend.

P.S. The prop is stuck on with a bit of tape as I've still got some painting to do around the nose.

I have always been a "leg" man. ;)

I finished up the painting this morning so now all I need to do is decals. I hope to have more pics and a backstory up by Saturday.

I'm glad you guys like it. :)

Brian, beautiful Tempest  it looks fantastic with spats and an open cockpit. Kind of like the Miles M.20. I found a pair of spats in my stash from a long gone Testor's GeeBee, if you'd like I'd be happy to mail them to you.

Brian,
That airplane looks very much like a Bendix Trophy racer from the 1930s. :D
