Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been up here much of late, and that when I have I've been relatively quiet.  As it happens, I've been out of work since then, and my internet access has been intermittent, at best.  In the meantime, I've had loads of time to work on my Secret Santa project, which has languished in obscurity for the last couple of months.  I'm not going to have it finished by the deadline, but I'll have the pics up by the end of the week.

I haven't completely built and painted a model since high school, so this has been a learning experience for me.  I need more practice at everything, so I like to think this is a new beginning for me.  I could have taken the easy route, as this kit, the Italeri AS-532 Super Puma/Cougar, was designed to be built with the doors closed, as there's no interior past the cockpit.  That wasn't good enough for me.  Anthonyp was nice enough to send me some seats and a door gun in exchange for some surplus missiles I had.  I've even tried to dress up the interior walls a little.  Nothing like JHM's WUH, but a little surface detail, to jazz up the bare-arse kit interior.  It's been especially fun, doing all this stuff from memory, without internet access, but I'm pleased with the results.  More in a couple of days.

I liked that deal... seats and an old gun for some missiles!  Yeah, missiles...

Erm, where was I?

Looking forward to the completed build, Jason!
