AH! I have words now!

Tarpaulin - excellent, I wanna be able to do that! FOD intake covers, same.

Paintjob - masterfully done. I like the preshading, teach me Master!

Looking forward to the Typhoon. Mmmm Typhoon.

I think that was all of it.  :P  Well done Svaz!

Cheers

So, that Western Pilot Spy-Thief Harry Gant stole yet another of the GLORIOUS Soviet Union's fighters, eh?

Nice job, Svaz!
That's Mitchell Gant! :P

Oh, and nice job on that Yankee fighter, suh!
3 Time National Champions: 1958, 2003, 2007

2 BCS Championships: 2003, 2007

How many BCS trophies in your trophy room, USC?

Geaux Tigers!

Very cool.

I like the Idea of the tarp over the canopy. Next time I stuff up the clear parts at least I know what I can do.

Thanks all for the kind comments - your positive input motivates me for the next project!

The tarp is three small layered squares of toilet paper wetted w/ white glue severely thinned w/ tap water (like, 1:10), and the intake covers cut from some thick aluminum foil from the safety seal of a can of baby forumla. They were both necessary since my 6 y.o. daughter 'helped me' slap the fuselage together in a few minutes doing 'daddy's plane thingy'  (there is no interior and there are no engine faces.) :)

The tarp is a bit more crinkly than I would have liked but it's a learning experience. (Un?)Fortunately I accidently totally obliterated the preshading which gave me a cleaner paint job since later research shows that most operational -29s are very well maintained! The oil-based wash came out well and I learned that I could removed the excess off of the Future finish w/ a dry q-tip. "The Lord favors fools", I suppose. :D

This started off as a "throw away" kit, but I'm rather pleased with it and has been added to my display case. My daughter likes to tell her mom that this one is 'our plane' - that's my girl. ^_^

I also dig the Soviet aggressor idea. Za Rodina! Vodka and black bread for all!
Someday, I'll even finish a model ...

QuoteA couple of pre-weathering pics. This is a F/A-29A that will intercept (or be intercepted - haven't decided yet), by a Confederate States of America Army Air Corp Typhoon (next build).
Great concept Svaz!  The Fulcrum is a very attractive aircraft, and it only looks better in USAF markings!  And I look forward to the CSA Typhoon!  Really, whenever you get that started, plaster pics of that everywhere to make sure I see it!  (I'm a southerner)

Oh, and Anthony me thinks you're thinking a little too much about NASCAR again ;)
Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.
