At the end of WW2, France found its air force armed with war weary British and American types. Taking advantage of the booty found at German factories and confiscated as reparations, and using the not inconsiderable amount of German industrial strength that had been left behind in France, several German aircraft types were placed in production. One of the first was the NC.900, which was a French built Fw.190A-5; this was followed from 1947 by the NC.901, a French built Ta.152C. In addition to French service, the type was also sold to Italy and the Netherlands.

The last stand of the Italian NC.901Ei inventory took place on Sicily in 1950. In the days that followed the collapse of loyalist forces to the Reds, the Italian air force concentrated what little remained of its NC.901Ei force at Sigonella. As these aircraft came from several units, and all aircraft needing camouflaging, for around two weeks in June they bore a non-descript appearance after exiting the paint shop. Lacking any unit insignia, they only bore single or two digit numbers until new unit identities could be organized.

On the 15th June, 1950, this was one of 8 NC.901Ei to attack the Italian mainland port of Reggio de Calbria without loss.

Whatever.

Of course! That's just brilliant!
For info, the NC-900 replaced... the usaged Yak-9 of the Normandie Niemen squadron. The pilots were not particularly happy, as they had fought... FW-190 over USSR!!!
The NC-900 could have been very usefull for the AdA, sadly due to the disatrous situation of the country, combined with sabotages made by La Resistance, the
NC-900 could not be used.

This whatif scenario is fascinating! And the model, too!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Great stuff Comrade! Very nicely done..........it's not often we see a single-engined Focke-Wulf on this site! What a brilliant (and true-sounding) idea.

Whatever could be next from our newest Whiff Factory?

That's excellent work, comrade harps! I am particuarly impressed at your use of the "paddle blades" on the props like the Czech Avia S.99s salvaged from Me-109s. Your camo is first-rate and that's one fascinating backstory too.

Either way, I love it!

Fantastic! I love the paint scheme. A very plausible backstory. I had plans to do a NC.900 in Israeli markings.

I have always liked the idea of ex german WWII  aircraft flying in French colours in their various colonial adventures.

gooberliberation is right.

It's our of the box, except for the decals, the P-51D underwing ordnance and some stuff (ex Mustang) behind the seat.
