Here she is fellows; I'm in the home straight now.
I may have to touch up the canopy framework with some silver paint because some of the camo peeled off even though I tried to remove the tamiya tape gently.

These el cheapo Russian or Eastern bloc models aren't at all bad provided you do something weird with them. The canopy always lets them down, though.
I have a two-seater that I hope to do with WW1 German nighttime lozenge.

You can't go wrong with lozenge...I like the concept !  Good looking jet, and I agree with you about the clear bits. Have you thought about building a vac table?
