Using straight acrylic gloss (future) to set the decals is fine on a smooth surface, but it doesn't dissolve the decal backing like Microset does...so if you have panel lines, etc, the decal won't lay in.  I still like using the combo method of future, the set, then future again...but the drying time is a real bugger-all,

I disagree with the panel line thing - I use nowt but Future for my decals and they usually bed down lovely into the panel lines.

I have no probs with Future either so now is it possible the chemical constituents of "Future" are different from "Clear" - different trans-Atlantic regs ?

Quick question for our resident Chemist Nev ?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I often use a Hair dryer to set with Future/ Klear...........but to be honest my decal work isnt competition standards.

Im not sure about the differences in Future and Klear as myself and IHG have used  both ,some I brought back from the States many years ago as well as local purchase.
