Accidental Whiff....

At the Coventry Show Mike McEvoy and I were discussing forthcoming or planned, or even un-planned projects, and he professed a need for an E-2 Hawkeye radome and struttery for some forthcoming McEvoyitis. I told him I had just that going spare as I was making a Greyhound (I didn't tell him I'd been making it for 10 years or more...) and promised to supply same at the AGM if not sooner.

So today I found the struttery languishing in my 'Where the hell shall I put this?' box, and found the radome doing temporary duty as a masthead float for one of my R/C catermarans (If they don't have masthead floats and they go over in a gust the whole darn boat turns 180 degs and it's the very DEVIL to get them upright again. A masthead float means they stop with the sails just in the water and one hull stuck up in the air) I disconnected it, a matter of levering it out of the bent aluminium clamp and rubbing off some Blu-Tack, and matched it with the struttery. Then I put it somewhere handy while I put the cat' back on its stand.

Then I went to recover the radome etc. and noticed where I'd put it..........See below 

I even make the things without thinking!

I am liking this, I dare say it could have worked in real life too.
