Something tells me we have guy here who works with these brave souls, but my memory has failed me...

Anyway, if such a thing exists I need a profile of one of their lifeboats, because all the photos on their web site, while good, aren't great for getting details of the paint scheme. Reason I ask is that I'm thinking of doing my Airfix Westland Scout as a rescue or spotter helicopter for the RNLI. It will have balloon floats like the old Bell 47 used, and maybe whatever other widgets I can slap on. I'll need help with the lettering too, sorry.

different model of lifeboat, but it shows that the livery represented on the model of the Severn class boat was pretty much bang on....

IHG is a coastie - a controller I believe, so thats probly who you're thinking of.  And SimonR used to fly SAR Sea Kings  :ar:

C'mon Captain, anyone growing up near the Canadian shield should have a wee bit o' prospector in their blood - you have to stake a claim (or in this case post it first) to get priority!
