Airbrush problem

I'm trying to do some airbrushing atm, and I noticed that the paint flow isn't constant. Turns out that the compressed air is going down the tube and into the paint jar: I can see bubbles forming in the paint jar.
This isn't supposed to happen, right? What could be wrong?

(Revell double-action airbrush, btw).

Can you show a picture, of find a link to a picture of a similar airbrush?

This has happened to me whenever anything from the bottle's intake syphon tube or beyond has become clogged.

The paint is being agitated as the airflow is making it to the paint bottle but not getting any farther.

Could be just a clogged vent-hole in the lid of your bottle or the syphon tube but it's more likely that it's time to disassemble your airbrush, soak all parts, and give it a thorough cleaning.   ;)
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

I just cleaned it, did find some clogging in the spray regulator. I'll try again in a moment. Thanks for the tip!

Yep, seems to have done the trick. Paint went on as it should.

Did some airbrushing today, and I had the same problem again. Cleaning didn't help. Then I noticed that the nozzle doesn't properly mate to the body any more: the chrome coating on the body is peeling off, leaving an air gap between the body and nozzle. So I put some vaseline on the mating surface, and voila, no more airflow into the paint jar. Problem solved!
