Now, if he did a Bell 222 (with optional bits to turn it into Airwolf) or perhaps a Sikorsky S76, I'd be overjoyed

Thanks for the tip, Martin. Ok, If I order some anigrand stuff one day, I'll ordered right from Arnold.  ;)

Think it's 1/72 scale (no anigrand 1/48 stuff AFAIK, and 1/144 would be odd   ).

If this new is confirmed, one can have the whole lineage of US attack helicopters from the 60's. Apache and Cobra are easy to find, and Anigrand deals with the unbuilt choppers prototypes (AH-3, AH-56 and AH-63).

Just imagine a row of these attack helicopters, add to that A-10, YA-9 and an
RAH-66 Comanche... (is there any kit of this one ?)

The mother of all attack choppers (tandem seating, gun turret, small wings to carry weapons)  was the Bell 207 Sioux scout. We also need a kit of this one  ;)

I think there's tons of whatifs to be build from an AH-56 kit... Lockheed thought they had found the perfect hybrid between aircraft and choppers, so the company drawn many, many interesting derivatives (including commuters, airliners...).

An Iranian AH-56 would be cool (Mi 24 kills!!!!) ... Apache / Cheyenne hybrid.... Hellfire Cheyenne... USCG derivative... anti-helicopter cheyenne with Phantom nose and Sparrows... Sea Cheyenne with Harpoons and Mavericks...

French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Not my bag but I'll probably be ordering one for someone

Just to confirm what's been said - As far as the UK is concerned then ordering direct from Arnold is cheaper (inc. postage cost) and quicker in my experience.

HOWEVER, Hannant's have just recently reduced their prices on the back of the strong £/$ exhange rate and do not forget that HM Customs may well open the packet and decide to charge you the duty - especially if there is more then one item  :(  I've not been copped yet, but you could be and this will take the price up.

"Switch personal beef mode on " I do get a bit narked when people complain about certain retail prices - If you take duty, VAT and a normal retail profit margin into account then you can quite easily arrive at the price even from what is going to be Arnold's wholesale price. Please don't forget that without people like Hannants etc then the hobby in the UK would be a lot poorer  :( "Switch personal beef mode off"

On a lighter note those of you who have ordered direct form Arnold will have experienced the green "oily" paper, profusion of colourful Hong Kong stamps and the SMELL even with the paper on (oh the anticipation)  - must drive the sniffer dogs mad    :D

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

My first Anigrand kit I got through Hannants, but all my others I went straight to the source, much cheaper for me being near the west coast of Canada and a straight delivery from Hong Kong.

Similarly the High Planes kits,  Hannants prices were just a pound sign for Aus$ sign, I've been ordering straight from High Planes for quite a while, way, way cheaper.

I'm one of those dozen (at least)!  I think it's probably worth petitioning Allen B. Ury at Fantastic Plastic for an Airwolf kit, he's done several what-if & film/sci-fi projects & he posts occaisionally on this site as ABU625.  His e-mail address is: fantasticplast@aol.com

Have a look at his catalouge & 'coming soon' list as well:

EDIT, sent him an e-mail, I'll update if I get a response.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Got a response from Allen, he's not planning an Airwolf kit as the AMT kit is still available on e-bay & such, I guess this'll put anyone off producing a resin kit as they won't be able to get anywhere near the price.

He did mention his Whispercraft kit (from the Arnie Film 'The 6th Day') is due within the month if anyones hankering for a futuristic helicopter.  It's not Airwolf, but I'll probably pick this one up as I've been eyeing it ever since Allen put it on his 'coming soon' list.  Not a huge fan of the film, just liked the aircraft.
