I have always liked the Canberra and the pointed nose ala Buccaneer really works on it BTW in the ground attack role didn't they try mounting a battery of 4-6 GE Miniguns in the belly of the B-57 in Vietnam???

Aye, it's the Matchbox F2A/F6. I've got a few left in the stash and might re-wing another one sometime...

Why not reengine the Canberra with something more modern?, turbofans or so.

Like the B-57 - very smart and very plausible!

Spinners, this Canberra is a beautiful build, not only does it have the attractive nosecone shape, but also, your camo and overall finish are excellent. An enjoyable piece of modeling!!!

Thank you ever so much! Perhaps my photo's have mislead you as it's not too pretty up close! I still brushpaint but Humbrol paints are 'doing my head in' (a popular British saying) and I might give acrylics a go on a quick build sometime soon. The Humbrol matt grey undercoat is a joke, the EDSG gave poor coverage and I had to use a really thick coat of green to get coverage and to avoid the paint running which can happen when doing camo with thin paint.

The nose is rather shapely and does suit the lines of the B-57 and I'm glad that I went with the Indian Air Force markings although I was tempted to do an Aussie B-57 and also considered an RAF interdictor with 1970's 'B' type roundels.

'Got an idea!!!

Use TF-34s from an A-10... (not sure if it would have enough power)

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Great work, Spinners ! It's one of those planes that just looks right. One that you want to pick up and 'fly' around the room.

Wicked. I want one !
