I have read somewhere that there was a proposed Swdesih government atomic weapons project and there were also plans for a SAAB Flygwapen nuclear bomber.
How would things have turned out if that was worked out?

Don't know anything about the bomb itself, but the Saab A 36 was the aircraft that was proposed to carry it.  The A 36 was a large delta winged aircraft, but was cancelled in favour of the Viggen.  It was more expensive & less versatile than the Viggen & when Sweden signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty the need for the A 36 disapeared.

Wing area: 54 square meters

Engine: Bristol Olympus
Thrust/weight ratio (take off): 0,73
Max speed: Mach 2,14 above 11 km; mach 1,2 at low altitude
Radius of action: 410 km

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

ROFLMAO!!!!!

Oh, wait, you were serious about a Swedish nuke!  Sorry, the whole concept just makes me giggle uncontrollably.  I've got images of the Swedish Chef from the Muppets giving a terrorist type TV broadcast, demanding the release of puppet chickens or some such...

Why, yes, I've taken a blow to the head recently, why do you ask?

If the Swedes were really serious about obtaining nukes then I'm sure they would have succeded. I base this on the fact that so far no nations that have attempted to aquire nukes have failed to do so.

the nuke designed for the A.36 looked similar to a Mk.43 in size, iv a drawing of it from an artice on the Saab tactical bomber, seems the programme to develop an indiginous nuclear weapons capability was given up upon by the 1960's, the cancellation of the A.36 following suit as no longer required

I think the Lansen was used for casing ballistic trials but unfortunately iv never seen any photos of it???
