Comission: custom RoG 747-400

Some of y'all know that my CFI hit me up for a custom painted 747 model a few weeks back, well I have the kit and after this week I'll be starting on it (digi's still down unfortunately).


Anyway, I'll post my in progress here, as well as any questions I have (seeing as I'm about to have a learing experience along the way   )

Lastnite I cut styrene on this mutha, got the stabs put togecther and so-so sanded to form, and installed the main wheel bay into the fuselodge. Hopefully come Thurs my roomie will bail and I can start diggin' in.

Ok, I've had this bird done & delievered back at the end of Nov., finally got my disposable camera turned in a few days ago, and guess what? the GD CD they gave me was bLANK!

Needless to say I still have the negatives, and I'm going back up there sometime this week & shove into their small intestines

The first incarnation scheme:







Underside came out crinkly due to no sealer cote applied before masking, I'll remember that next time around.

And the final product, I had to replace the masked tailcodes due to their. . . oddness, so I opted for some scrapbook sticker lettering from Walmart. Mr. Charett was suitibly impressed w/his new office decoration.
