Beautiful!  Beautiful!  If you still wanted to do it as a passenger airline (would be my favorite choice), could you not simply cover the existing cut-out windows that are too large and too few with a long, narrow strip of thin plastic and end up painting the smaller, more numerous windows in place (more or less black/grey ovals with maybe a highlight blotch of off-white?)?

I do hope you'll stay, my friend, though I can understand why you celebrated that party's political demise.  The only reason I've not hit the penalty box is that, despite intense provocation from certain posters - and, no, I won't say who - I bit my tongue, sat on my hands, and left my responses for more private venues.  

This site is one of my respites from the real world and I try and not drag too much baggage in here.

Stepping off any soapbox, I hope we'll see the outcome of your work on this, soon, as it looks bloody excellent so far.

Dear Supertom, just read this.

This kind of punishment is just silly, for two reasons.

First, it hurts people. that's not the true problem (hey, they've made a mistake) but this can push people to "violents actions".  In my case I waited patiently, but a truly "bad guy" with computer knowledged (and no education, as it is more and more the case in our days   ) could have hacked the forum (as it already happened 13 months ago).

Secondly, because the ban is very easy to "break". Even I, with diminished computer knowledge, understood that all I needed was to change the IP number (by using another computer far from my home, in my case a public computer for free... welcome to France   ) and creating a new account.

Dear Archibald, just read this.

First, it hurts the community.  Politics and religion - two topics that have been specified as something we ask not to be brought up on this forum.  Try any other modeling forum that has such rules and see what happens if you try to bring this up.  I have my disagreements and dissatisfactions with certain governmental systems, and those who know me will know I will only talk about this outside of the forums.  I will not bring it to this forum.  Nor will you ever see me use this forum as a platform for my human rights activism activities.  There are specific forums for these.  This is not one of them.

Secondly, your being banned is not an invitation to challenge the status quo.  As much as I'd like to invite open discussion on politics and religion, this forum is oriented towards a hobby.  There are some people who regard these topics as sore points and would prefer not to dicuss these topics, and the idea of keeping such topics off the board is geared towards keeping these people comfortable.  I'm pretty laid-back, but do not assume I will not take action to drop disruptive behaviour from this forum.  I've been asked the others not to reply and I've taken the time  to provide you with a reason - in a neutral manner - for why you were suspended for a week.  Apparently I should not have wasted my time on civility.  Since you do not seem to think that the moderators and other members of this board  warrant your respect, I will do the same.

If you want to discuss politics, fine.  Contact whoever you want to off-board.  But we've reiterated it over and over again, and we've constantly asked that members of the forum stay away from potentially sticky topics.  We invite members to discuss with us if they feel a topic they want to post is potentially volatile.  But try something that is such a clear violation of the forum rules again and you'll see that I can be very vindictive, especially when I've been in a bad mood for the past two weeks.
