Here's a couple more from the 'Alien' movie series.

Hi There! (Isn't it cute?)

This is from Alien3 and is the Halcyon kit.

USS Sulaco from Aliens (and Alien3) also a Halcyon kit.
It's 1/2400 and that blob on the stalk, below the lower turret is the Drop Ship launching!

Scary good fun!  I'm especially impressed with the way you have managed to produce such a translucent, wet effect from an otherwise solid (resin or vinyl?) kit!

Have you seen Alfred Wong's dropship model yet?

hi
thanx all

JHM - actually it's injection moulded styrene! Halcyon did, IMHO, some amazing work. Getting all those curves to meet would have been a challenge for the mould designer. I got the translusent effect by mixing a little Tamiyia Clear Red and Green ( makes brown ) to Gloss Clear and sprayed it on, sort of like a thick wash. I gave it couple of coats, going heavy on areas I wanted to look really wet and slimy. I was really happy with the result as it helped to blend the washes and dry brushing etc I did with the painting.

Rafael - thanks, the Sulaco got best Sci-Fi model at the '93 (That long ago!?!) SAPMA (South Australian Plastic Modelers Assosiation) comps. Funny really as second was a hugh big USS Enterprise D which half filled the table. People saw the Big E and thought it must be the winner then they read the card, saw mine was 1st and wondered what this little lumpy thing was! (The Sulaco is about a foot long BTW)

Oh and I'll put some more figures up for you too.

Leigh

Nice Models but where's Sigourney in her underwear?

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid
