Canard Lighning On Ukar

This guy is Whiffing a Lighting as a delta canard, largely as an act of desparation.

He'd probably fit right in here then

Looks great, althou if I were to attempt it I'd solidify the nose and add the side intakes ala F-4 (that would be one hell of a PSR nightmare ), with the canards mounted atop the intakes.

Still a looker thou!

Hmm, I think I'd go for a solid nose and an underslung inlet rather than F-4 style inlets, it's easier structural changes (I know it's whiff, but the engineer in me still makes inputs ) to do.  Perhaps something similar to what the P.177 had but with an inlet that can breathe for two turbojets?

Adding to Elmayerle and Shasper's comments, wouldn't the solution look remarkably like the Chinese F-8 (their mod on the MiG-19 or MiG-21, I can't remember at this time which one it was)? B)

Close, this guy has a coupled Canard delta layout, while the J-8 is a tailed double-delta.

Excellent build, neat concept.  I think he should keep the nose inlet as that's one of the things which really defines the Lightning.  

I wonder what the aerodynamics would've been like on a delta bird like that.

Yeah, the finished product will be something to see alright!
