Cams Themes 2008

Hey there guys,

First off, I just want to pass along a big thanks to all of you who attended CAMS '07, it was our biggest and best show so far, and by the looks of things, is only going to get bigger.

Needless to say, we are going to be looking for a bigger venue for next year, so stay tuned to what we are going to do.

Now down to business....

Looking to see what you people would like to see as far as any special themes for CAMS '08. Keep in mind it is our 20th Anniversary show, and we are working on something special, however if it falls through we need some idea for themes.

Here is what we have so far for ideas.

50th Anniversary of the F-4 Phantom - as submitted by Charlie Arsenault

Medical/Ambulance Theme (encompassing all years, basically anything that was designed to carry wounded, can even include civilian vehicles, pretty much anything that had a Red Cross on the side of it) - as submitted by Robert Lafreniere

Battle for Kursk - Largest Tank Battle In History - As submitted by Dave
Hutchison

Just using a couple of websites, and going through what happened in
years past I have come up with:

1903 - Ford Releases the first Model A (Again, a Ford Theme)
1908
1913 - Ford begins first Moving Assembly Line (Any Ford Kit)
1918 - End of WWI
1923
1928
1933
1938 - German Invasion of Austria
1943 - Battle for Kursk (as above), German surrender in Stalingrad, Allies landing in Italy
1948 - Berlin Blockade, Soviets Introduce the Mig 15
1953 - End of the Korean War (Korean Theme, air, land and sea)
1958 - F-4 Phantom Unveiled by McDonnell Douglas - 50th Anniversary of the F-4 as above
1963
1968
1973 - US Pull out from Vietnam (Vietnam theme, air, land and sea) - Also Yom Kippur War in Israel
1978
1983 - US Invasion of Grenada
1988 - Soviets Pull out of Afghanistan
1993
1998
2003

Well, a 2003 theme could be "Operation Iraqi Freedom".
