Crusader Reborn

After about 10 months of sitting in dust, I finally found the canopy and finished this bird up.



It's the F-8S Crusader II (super crusader was already taken ), changes include a new fire control radar & radome, fitting of the PW F100 engine, deletion of 2 guns and the new avionics/fuel dorsal hump.





2 extra underwing pylons were fitted, as well as a centerline attachment point.
This was a joint project between LTV and IAI for the ill-conceived Intermediate Export FX competition that gave rise to the F-16/79.
